Les Ailleurs
La Gaité Lyrique, 2020, Paris
Production with Fisheye
Virtual reality, augmented reality, spatialized sound, interactive screens… What do these new virtual technologies tell us about our era? In the company of the artists pioneering these new media, Fisheye is partnering with Gaîté Lyrique to create a new event dedicated to immersive experiences. Augmenting perceptions, immersing oneself in soundscapes, becoming one with new narratives: from May 19 to July 18, 2021, the Gaîté Lyrique audience discovered a selection of the world's best immersive and multisensory experiences in a new space dedicated to immersive storytelling. The program, created in partnership with Fabbula, featured an exhibition with three narrative journeys, each made of VR projects, as well as discovery workshops between April and July 2021.
A festival created by Fisheye, co-organized by Fisheye and La Gaîté Lyrique, and co-founded by Fisheye, Les Rencontres d’Arles, and BNP Paribas. With the support of Intel, HTC Vive, Institut Français, Fabbula, La Galerie Cinéma Anne-Dominique Toussaint, Le Point, Libération, mk2, Arte, fip, News Tank, Trax, L’ADN, and Toute La Culture.
Jury : Myriam Achard (Centre Phi), Agnès Alfandari (Institut français), Cédric Klapisch (Réalisateur, Président du jury), Bertrand Cizeau (BNP Paribas), Christoph Wiesner (Rencontres d’Arles)
